Garden Designer

We are looking for a talented Garden designer to join our design and build company to head up the design side of the business. As a business we are a complete garden design and build company that specialises in carrying out large scale complete garden projects from start to finish and have 20 employees who are all employed and build to a very high standard and have been trading for 31 years.

All of our projects are around the Sevenoaks and Tunbridge wells area and down in to East Sussex so it is all local work based around the office.

You will be joining a small but very sccessful team who pride themselves on delivering high quality gardens to the domestic market.

The successful candidate must have the following skills & qualifications :-

Diploma or degree in garden design/ landscape Architecture with a good experience of designing gardens. (Ideally 3-5 years )
Must be good at client facing and have excellent communication skills, you will be dealing with the clients and the build teams directly
Must be very proficient at Vector works, Sketchup, photoshop etc…
An excellent eye for design and the ability/ desire to push the boundaries on materials and garden design
Good knowledge of overseeing garden builds and the ability to work alongside the management team in ensuring the gardens are built to exacting standards
Planting and soft landscaping knowledge is crucial as this is a huge part of the role so you must be able to design & implement planting schemes
Having a wide range of material & construction knowledge will be essential
An outgoing personality and a strong drive will be expected along with a good design ethos and the ability to lead.

This will be a full time role as a full time employee on PAYE with a competitive salary based on your experience and is an exciting opportunity for someone to progress in to an established company that can offer high level design and construction experience
