Have you ever wondered how you can feature in the press, on blogs or other publications, but don’t know where to begin? Are you keen to commission professional photography, yet not sure how to make the most of the investment? Are you wondering how press and publicity can raise your profile and win you more of the kind of work you want?
Come to this in-person day-long interactive workshop and learn how to:
- hone and define your own brand values and ethos and get the most of your press and promotional work;
- identify different press requirements and opportunities across publications, including blogs, podcasts and influencers;
- plan out photoshoots that meet multiple requirements, from website banner shots to editorial-friendly press images;
- devise the best approach for going forward, whether that’s DIY-ing your own PR or working with specialists to help get your story out there.
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to successfully raise your profile, along with heaps of useful resources to help you on your way.
PLEASE NOTE: No parking is available at the venue though drivers may wish to consider the Cambridge Park & Ride service. Cambridge station (10 minutes’ walk away from the venue) is on direct train lines from Norwich, Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Peterborough, parts of Essex, London (various stations), Brighton

Course Tutor: Joanna Thornhill
Joanna is a creative consultant, design writer and stylist. With over 15 years’ experience working for both brands and magazines, she has an in-depth understanding of how the industry works and the role that well-tailored branding, photography and content play in gaining media coverage.
