The Society of Garden Designers is providing this site on an `as-is` basis and makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this site or its contents and disclaims all such representations and warranties.

The Society of Garden Designers makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness or suitability for any purpose of the information and documents published in this site. All material included in this site is intended for information purposes only and does not represent legal advice. Users are recommended not to act or refrain from acting on the information in this site without first verifying the information and as necessary obtaining legal and/or professional advice. All liability of the Society of Garden Designers howsoever arising for any such inaccuracies or errors is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Neither the Society of Garden Designers nor any of its representatives will be liable for loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of this site or any documents contained therein (whether such losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise). Users acknowledge that material downloaded or accessed via this site is obtained entirely at the user’s own risk and the user will be entirely responsible for any resulting damage to software or computer systems and/or any resulting loss of data.

The Society of Garden Designers does not accept any liability in connection with third party sites that can be accessed through this site and does not endorse or approve the contents of any such site.

If any term of these Terms of Use shall be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining terms or provisions shall remain in full force and effect and such invalid, illegal or unenforceable terms and provisions shall be deemed, ab initio, not to have been part of these Terms.

These terms shall be governed by, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of, the laws of England and Wales.

All intellectual property rights including (without limitation) copyright in the text, graphics, documents and information contained in this site belong to the Society of Garden Designers, unless otherwise stated. If you are a member of the Society of Garden Designers, you are permitted to download and print a copy of documents contained on this site provided that it is for your personal use, that any copyright notices in the documents are not deleted and that the permission to use the documents may be revoked at any time. If you cease to be a member of the Society of Garden Designers, you must immediately cease using the documents.

The Society of Garden Designers may change these terms at any time by posting changes online.

Articles from Garden Design Journal

  1. The Society of Garden Designers owns the copyright of the articles in the Garden Design Journal

  2. The Society of Garden Designers gives permission to contributors of text and images to reproduce these on their websites in pdf format subject to points 3, 4 and 5 below

  3. If an article is to be reused on a website and it includes illustrations, then permission needs to be obtained from relevant photographers or picture libraries etc owning the rights to the images; this is the responsibility of the contributing author/member who wishes to reuse an article on their website, and not the Garden Design Journal or the Society of Garden Designers

  4. If the article is a feature about products using publicity images from the manufacturers, members can use that page on their website so long as it is a faithful reproduction of the page itself (ie, not extracting the text and using it in any other way)

  5. Any article/image reused from the journal should make it clear that it is reproduced from the Garden Design Journal
